Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Calgary’s Northeast, Faisal Kabab Hut offers an authentic taste of Pakistan that promises to delight both your palate and your soul. This inviting Pakistani restaurant is a haven for food enthusiasts craving the rich, aromatic flavors that define traditional South Asian cuisine.

From the moment you step inside, you’ll notice the warm and welcoming ambiance, enhanced recently by thoughtful renovations that have brightened the space without compromising its cozy, down-to-earth charm. The atmosphere perfectly complements the culinary journey ahead, where every dish is a celebration of bold spices and fresh ingredients.

The menu at Faisal Kabab Hut is beautifully diverse, catering to a variety of tastes with standout offerings that have quickly become local favorites. The mutton biryani (CA$15.00) is a fragrant masterpiece—tender, slow-cooked mutton mingled with flavorful basmati rice and a symphony of spices, delivering a hearty and satisfying meal. For those seeking a lighter vegetarian option, the vegetarian biryani (CA$12.00) bursts with fresh vegetables and aromatic herbs, equally vibrant in taste.

Signature curries such as the Palak Mutton (spinach and boneless mutton cooked with tomatoes and ginger for CA$15.00) and the robust Mutton Karahi (CA$19.00) highlight Faisal’s dedication to authentic preparation—each bite rich and wonderfully spiced yet perfectly balanced. Chicken lovers will find the Chicken Karahi (CA$18.00) a delight, its tender pieces simmered in a tangy curry sauce that’s both comforting and invigorating.

A perfect starter, like the crispy and golden samosa plate (CA$6.00), sets the tone with its flaky exterior and savory filling, transporting diners straight to the bustling streets of Pakistan. The Papri Chaat (CA$10.00) offers a refreshing, tangy twist, combining textures and tastes that tantalize the senses before the main course arrives.

Many patrons appreciate not only the generous portions but also the rich taste and freshness of Faisal Kabab Hut’s offerings. As customer Theresa Valera beautifully puts it, dining here is “a truly immersive experience” filled with “bold flavors and carefully crafted spices.” While some reviews have noted room for improvement in service speed and venue upgrades, the attentive and friendly staff, such as Rajvir—the front desk’s shining star—make you feel genuinely welcome and valued.

Whether you’re visiting for a cozy dinner or picking up a heaping takeout to enjoy at home, Faisal Kabab Hut delivers exceptional value and a sincere taste of Pakistan’s culinary heritage right in Calgary. If you find yourself in the Northeast, this eatery is a must-visit—offering both comfort and adventure on your plate in generous portions that satisfy every craving.

For today’s Saturday meal, my girlfriend and I wanted to venture off to the NE to Faisal Kabab Hut. It was good. For what you pay for it’s a lot of food. If you’re in the NE amongst a lot of food place, head down to Faisal Kabab Hut

The food was fresh and Tasty but customer service was very slow. The venue needs some upgrades. I went in the morning. The waitresses were very sleepy. I ordered mutton curry, seek kabab, and biryani which came with nan raita and salad. The food was 5 out of 5.

Their food was tasty and fresh. Service was also good. Didn’t have to wait too long for the food to serve despite of pretty busy time (for both dine in and takeout). Only thing they should focus on is the atmosphere and cleanliness.

Faisal's was my husband's favourite lunch spot when he worked nearby. It's a real treat to pop in and enjoy some kababs. We hadn't visited in so long we were surprised by the renovations and ate upstairs. We had the meat platter with fish, chicken, and beef kabobs with lots of naan. The platter could easily feed 2-3 people. It's funny, I don't care for fish, but I love the way South Asian restaurants cook fish--easily my favourite part of the meal! The chicken was juicy and flavourful and I was too full to try the beef. Service was amazing and I'm sure we'll be back sooner than later. I
